A chronicle of dwarven fort Cloisteredlulled updated

Here are my notes of the events that are taking place in my dwarven fort. First two years are missed. The story starts with a fort of around 150-170 dwarves where military is waiting to be dressed properly after smiths are taught to craft masterworks and after there is enough steel to sustain the demands of military. There is one squad of hammerers and a squad of spearmen which is not too much. There is a lovely mayor necromancer ruling the fort. Literally lovely and very talkative

  • survived two waves of artifact hunters, one ettin attack. Lost 50 dwarves already
  • Arrived a human maceman with a codex and a scroll in his hands. Knowledge is power
  • Medic created artifact silver spear of her name
  • 30 dwarves were beaten after selling thrones that were embargoed
  • Dwarven autumn caravan came. Had nothing to sell. been exponenting steel production. sold them 1 of 50 axes. was 20 percent of exports. bought wood, one book an couple platinum bars. And gypsum. This is a must. Will try to sell last-second elven pants. Cost another 20% of trades.
  • My fort has been recognized and I recommended my necromayor to be a baron. Forgot about another social ladder willing dwarf. will have to wait.
  • I have 18 forges. gotta get to the lava before I run out of wood
  • For some reason a lot of dwarves are competent bowman. AND there is no elven civilisation in this world..

Turned out kitchen is empty. No food. Sent dwarves to gather plants while it’s still not winter

Killed two elk birds since they were too close to engravers and were scaring them heavily

Farmer and brewer found dead near fort entrance

Some necromancer visited our corpse stockpile. All skeletons turned alive. Perhpas it’s our mayor necromancer??

Also one ghostly swordsdwarf is in the fort

Monom Kilrudeggut has become a mayor. Comedian, wounddresser, surgeon

Tekkud set as new broker. Retired from army

Found human scholar zombie in the library

Dig into 3 level of caverns with lava and adamantine. Will stay away for now

Goblin seige. Not huge but they have armour. My dwarves at most have chain leggings

I’m still out of food. Started pushing seeds into meals

Two marksdwarves fell asleep. Ghost stationed with my military. One of the dwarves grew attached to a hammer. Mayor issued ban on totem export. Waiting for goblin forces to enter fort. Drawbridge is yet to rise

4 dwarved dead. Winter has begun. Seige ended

started doing armour. smith managed to do some mw armour.

Food partially solved. dwarves gathering fallen fruit in the winter outside

Giant echidna is around. Will become meat as soon as I equip armour to pike squad

werellama came. bit 4 dwarves. In 1 month lost 20 more in the next werellama full moon transformation. Guess this is the beginning of the end of fortress

Artefact Marklaws revealed to human axeman. Up the bridge: Ettad Quazoote

third werelllama attack. 3 transforms: 110+ pop dropped to 55… Gotta track manually dorfs too brutal. just too brutal


Sorted dwarves. Around 5 are fresh and ready to go. Two-three are weathered military veterans. Rest are crippled and dying and children/bards


Put traps, tried to get some more armour. hospital is at capacity. stationed army.

migrants arrived: new recruits!

Forgotten beast arrived: 3eyed 8-legged lizard with deadly spittle

22 new migrants. Some nearly drowned trying to cross the river. Assigned full squads. They will not be on time to get equipment.

The door to hospital is jammed. It will be a massacre

Kafit Stamisha human bard revealed Marklaws to Eletha Pevoroqui the elf. One of the few remaining elves.. Waiting for the dawn to werebeast attack

6 llamas transformed. Not good. All in the medical quarters. They will eat the other crippled dwarves. Not too bad. If im lucky they will damage each other too. And the fancy all-in hospital weapon traps with MW mechanisms might do some business stpping llamas

One squad failed to stand ground and entered the room. Gotta wait for the traps to activate on llamas. The squad disobeyed and will pay

3 werellamas down? Yes they are fighting each other

The entered squad was the primary axemen. And they are alive yet. Gotta send help quick

Another llama dead while squads are rushing

Werellama mayor killed. New mayor elected! One werellama left

Downed. No militia lost in the attack

Llamas specialize in attacking my dwarves with socks. Tearing apart the flesh and crushing the bones.

Werellama mayor bit a spearman in the head. And he was dodging another llama in the meantime

Weaponsmith has been bitten too. Very not good. No more MW weapons for a while

One legendary miner bitten

Werellama engraver picked human bard and applied 3 dozen hits with the wool sock to his head. Human got no damage and went to rest after the fight. Probably praying to the socks on the way


Assigning newcomers to jobs

Have to reelect captian of the guard with the weakest dwarf to proceed with safe dwarven justice

  • gelder is legendary tracker with 25 human kills
  • two legendary stonecrafters. Both spearmen

Checked skills. assigned cooks, brewers and stonecrafters. Rest is TBD


Reassigned dwarved to normal life. Put 3 bitten ones into a squad and sent to attack giant echidna.

Giant Echidna is abslutely in the defensive. At least keeps werellamas outisde of the fort

Human bowman tries to get artefacts. All aboard. It’s one week before the full moon

3 invaders killed and one more elf bowman too. Elf managed to get a child and tear the guts of a swordman

Station. Waiting to chill and one week before full moon. Echidna is exhausted from 3 crippled dwarves punches

One more human in the tavern killed

Dwarves are kind of unhappy. Miasma is everywhere

Day X. 3 Werellamas in from of giant echidna. All dwarves are stationed and ready

Llamas killed the echidna. But spared each other. Did not enter the fort. Night ended. Will wait till the next month


Assigned one werellama to make coffins and another to make armour

One Domaz revealed artifact to another human. Crossbowman Tonul Stodadelku. Another massacre is inevitable

Now we have a ghostly werellama spearman around fortress. Gotta hurry with the coffins

Two more ghosts. 3*

Summer came. And another goblin seige. All aboard. Up the bridge. They will have to swim in the river before reaching entrance to the fort

There are several dozen of those at least. Gotta try my seige i guess

more than 50 counting with war dogs

70 with trolls

closer to 80 with 10 trolls and two dozen beak dogs. I guess that’s it

Will try to mess some of them with retracting bridge over the river. Success. First 5 dogs are on my side. Rest will swim i guess

Triggered stonefall traps. Now I don’t have any traps

They swim successfully. Bridge tricks are avoided

Marksdwarves are holding the fortified entrance gallery for now.

I’ve messed up with the trolls. They will likely destroy my doors now. Oops. Trying to command to build walls there.

Building started. Trolls are regrouping and gathering on my bank of river. Not good

Another presence of artifact revealed to Tonul again

At least the goblins are hesitating to cross water.

One more ghost

One wall block out of 3 is complete. Ogres advancing

Trade depot destroyed. Goblins passing the entrance gallery. Called all dwarves to defend the leak that troll is trying to organise

One miner became legendary. Assigned him to the seige ballista in the gallery. Hope it works. Otherwise chances are slim. Ogres are working with the door

At least the river stretched the goblins

Werellamas are transforming in 6 days

Seige operator decided to bring a stone from the far end of the fortress. Oh wow

One beak dog killed 3 my werellama dwarves before transformation

One door destroyed. One left

Microing the seige miner is no use. He is getting only deeper

Mayor has been reelected

Miner is getting there… There is a chance to score couple good hits. He got scared to see that many goblins through fortifications. That’s bad

Trolls got the last door. The time has come

Werellama transform. It is likely to do more harm now. Oh-ow. One of them is in the hospital and not on the frontline. Worst possible

Hospital werellama bled to death. Probably it’s the hospital weapn trap. Oh. NVM. It was another llama. Attacking the backline llama inside the military squads

We’re being kited. And surrounded. What a timing. And with a werellama in my workshop area

MASSACRE TIME

Population went from 75 to 30 dwarves. 4 military left. One able to move. 3 went to hospital full of miasma.

The mayor is worshipping. There are two goblin beak dogs running around the fort

I don’t believe this fort can be saved

All dwarves resting exhausted

Miasma everywhere. Especially in the tavern and in the hospital

Full moon coming. I have no idea how many infected werellamas are now in the fort

Two werellamas. Will that be the final nail?

Smithdwarf killed one werellama as if it was nothing

Now it’s 29 population including 9 kids and couple bards/monster slayers.

Will try to reassign labours again and see how it gets. For now it will be a closed gravedigger fort. At least I’ll have a hugeload of goblin and troll items for sale. Gotta build a depot though too

Will be another long round of doc update. At least now it s faster to list alive ones rather than the dead ones


Set all dwarves into miners-doctors-masons. Gotta make lots of coffins, dig new rooms miasma-free and try to heal patients

Alcohol is over. Dwarves started drinking water. We’re approaching the REAL doomsday

Migrants arrived. 8 of those. Plus some animal stock.

Dwarven child slipped into depression and got a task “Attend a meeting”. Or maybe the other way around

Hospital is still the most miasma-filled place. At least the rest of fort is clearing

Chief medic is in the strange mood. Another craftsman. Waste of mood

Some consort lady arrived to entertain my dwarves. At least something.

Assigned one dwarf to be a professional undertaker. Too many corpses

One day to next fool moon. It’s gonna be a disaster I guess. Gathering all military in one room

Doctor finished his masterwork cherry wood earring. yay.

Midnight. No werellamas. We’re through

They stopped building tombs. There is lots of coffins but nobody is making the tombs. Ghosts everywhere

They are too busy hauling body parts to other tombs . . .

Autumn has come. Missed summer trading due to unrestored trade depot

Another announcement of child depression. Same child. Which is good since he managed to get out of the previous one

Caravan arrived. Cancelled all coffins. Send the masons for an immediate trade depot. Done. With one unintended bridge built on the way

Spent almost an hour IRL checking all the trash manually to be pulled. Not sure dwarves will be able to pull the whole list before caravan departs. Perhaps for the next arrival. At least will clean most of the damaged clothes. Will make it easier to breathe. And there will be a huge traffic jam in the military-made entrance bottleneck

There’s lots of leather, some animals and cheese. Bought cheese in the first transfer.

Depressed child is throwing tantrum. Maybe cheese will help

And there is also tons of forbidden clothes from goblin seige. I guess i could trade the whole caravan with it maybe

Autumn migrants arrived.


Another ghost risen and haunting the fort. Oh wow. Now it’s.. five? Only five?? Also one of them is mother’s ghost that is haunting her child. Brutal and creepy

Migrants are mostly family-oriented. And two of them are dreaming of travels. Not the best life-goal when you’re a dwarf. Anyway five more undertakers and one newbie weaponsmith is fine

Nish child is posessed by ghost lasher and throwing tantrum. At least it’s a weak unarmed kid

Bought all caged lifestock. Items keep on being hauled

One undertaker is next to snapping. Assigned him a weaver. Perhaps will distract him a bit

Depressed weaver feels better after labour therapy

Trash is still flowing into the depot. Bought all leather. Now the rest will be mostly useless. Wonder if human caravan will arrive next year

Two ghosts been put to rest. Four left

Announcement that Oddomuvar has been made a country and mayor reelected appeared. No idea what is Oddomuvar. Not my fort at least

“Ghostly Axedwarf has been found dead”. Not quite sure I know what it means

Trading lasts for month already and dwarves keep on hauling the damaged clothing to the depot. Broker got hungry and left for some snacks

Another full moon. Broker went to sleep. No more trading for me. Full moon is peaceful. So good

More cavern mole dogs trapped into cages. More intruders semaphores at the entrance

Traders leave. Now we have some food at least. Failed to get gypsum plaster though. That’s very unfortunate considering a number of fighting going on

Forgotten Blob of Grime and Filth spitting webs appeared in the underground. That’s a bit unfortunate since it’s the top level that has one door passage to the fort. Guess we can deal with grime after all?

Meanwhile tantrum child Nish punches countess consort for a while. It helped.

One wannabe-undertaker was found in the caves cleaning blood near one ex-overly-curious-ex-dwarf. Unforbid the entrance to fort. Hope he can understand the hint. There’s two of them. *three. Plus forgotten beast. Shut the door in front of the beast. But he entered the fort anyway. Apparently there was a better way throught the multi-level z-holes. Army alert! First attack on a crossbowman is here. Also found uncovered exploratory holes to the cave. That beast can fly hence this amount of success.

Three copper pick blows by militia captain did the job. Losses: one eye and one undertaker leg badly injured.

The holes expalin the previous dragon too.

Gotta now gather plants while it’s not winter.

Also sad that after all that, the dwarves had no hold of the giant echidna meat

Kid Stukos slipped into depression. At least the burial is sped up. Getting rid of her helicopter ghost mother sould be at least a step to his rehab

Depressed kid Nish is attending a meeting with mayor. Wonder what is being discussed

Another full moon passed. Burial company is on the way. Sealing holes to caverns is on the way too

A non-citizen bard got posessed with strange mood. Interesting. WHY ANOTHER CRAFTSDWARF??? WHY???

Another ghost risen

Kid Nish posessed by ghost lasher is throwing a tantrum. Headed straight to my pasture and letting it all out on the yac cow. Then the yak bull. In the meantime kid Stukos lost sanity and started stumbling around obliviously. Yaks are surprisingly calm animals after all

Kid Stukos decided to play in the hospital still stacked with unburied bodies

Announce: A honey badger has stolen an apricot. Not the worst news anyway

Found out my water well was muddied. Assign dwarf to deepen it. Hope he will not sink underwater

One ghost child less

Artifact revealed to human crossbowman Tonul. Troupe Laconic Rains was denied application to stay in fort

Announce: stray cow has been missing for a week.. And another one too. Hope they are doing fine

Dead/missing list contains 447 names. Scary

Mayo dicided to ban export of shields. There is barely any in my fort tbh

Now it’s hors gone missing for a week. Something fishy is happening.

Built a pump to get rid of water to let my digger deepen the well

Legendary poet undertaker was chained. No idea why. Not the best time to chain an undertaker. Assigned her to be professional poet at one of the temples

Out goes pumped water. Straight through my main stairwell. Bathing time

Giant rat found in the bedroom area. Previously there was a giant bat shuffling around fort. There is definitely a leak somewhere from the caves

Operation well finished. For some reason there appeared a spattering of goblin blood on the walls under the pump. No idea

One kid grown to become adult. Great except she got some seroius battle wounds. Our new and currently only engraver. Graveyard will not smooth the walls itself

One more ghost less. Dwarf monster slayer necromancer is visiting. Decorated with human tooth amulets. Barehanded

Spring has come. Another ghost put to rest

Human crossbowman asks mayo to get marklaws. He says it is sought by Desli Prefectclears and he wants to return it home. Not sure if it is not made inside our fort. How would it get in there otherwise? I’ll give it to him and check the archive entries while he is not left. Trade with humans is a good thing overall. And there has been a lot of blodspill over it recently. Hmm, that human has human hair crown, turban and human bone jewelry. Canot find artifact’s origin. And it costs nothing. And it s a stupid cepter. I’ll let him have it. Note to self: it’ll be in ? - forgot. At least he left southwest

And it seems like graveyard is at capacity. No more new assignments to the newly-built tombs

Next big goal: dump all the corpses from the tavern before necro slayer dicided to resurrect them


A thief stolen copy of a book from the library. There are no library cards in the game. Perhaps that explains missing animals too

Migrants. Finally

Poet undertaker slipped into depression. Good thing he is already chained

23 migrants. Freed previous migrants from undertaker duties. Set current wave to finish the task. Rearranged crafts. Reintroduced all-arounders. Hopefully they will now have time to chain mole dogs from cages before they die of hunger. Assigned musicians to temples. My temple floor is still overly unpopular among dwarfes. At the same time population of human prophets is silently begging for another dragon arrival

Agreed to build farmer guild. Little to they know previous cast of farmer guild already asked for one. Gotta finish Mahogany Hall though

Turned out my underground corpse warehouse got overpopulated. Ordered to dig more. Meanwhlie a giant humanoid two-headed monster spawned in the surface. Got militia stationed at the entrance. Huge numbers overwhelming resulted in flawless victory


Restarted steel remelting exponentiating. Gotta start considering moving to the lava - coal is not infinite

Kid Stukos slipped into depression. Poet Eshtan too. Not sure when dwarfes will dechain him honestly

That kid Stukos is in heavy depression. There is 3 more years before he gets a right to labour. Poor dude

Kid Kikrost struck by strange mood. One more craftsdwarf and I will destroy this stupid workshop

Assigned a temple area to the cell with imprisoned depressed poet. Hope he could at least pray there. At least one human bard immediately came to pray in the new temple

Kid Kikrost made a wooden ring. Stupid growing elf-like kids

Got first lumber harves of an underground fungiwood dendrarium forest

Human trade caravan. It’s that time again

Depressed poet back to society. Highly happy to being able to cause trouble on the way back

Got some literature, lots of cheese and wood. One boar, one bear, couple mauls and paper for scribes


Done with trading. New migrants. It’s getting out of hand again

Guess I’ve also bought a grizzly bear since it’s somewhere caged. Gotta assign an animal trainer for that thing

Kid Stukos is having another episode

Assigned new broker. Old broker feels no longer depressed after improving broker skill and communicating with her deity. Back to body hauling then

One of the newcomers is a legendary butcher. Not butchering goblins in here but he is welcome anyway. Also he is grand master of negotiations. Another new broker

Meanwhile near the entrance stray dwarven prophet is chasing honey badger

Poet Eshtan is in tantrum. Armosmithing did not help. He found another poet and got into a fight. Other dwarves brought him to hospital after a brief dialogue. Mayo brought him to his cabinet for interrogation. Then released back to hospital

Poet put to the cage. Kid Stukos is close to be justiced too


Giantess appeared on the surface. Military might deal with her. All stationary and waiting for a giant emu chase to end. The chase ended up in the river. Emu crossed it while giantess refused to. And drowned. Not. She managed to cross the river and deal with the emu. Being over-exerted it might be a good time to get my military to advance. Dwarfes win. One wrist of a bookkeeper sacrificed

Will try to at least butcher an emu too

Troupe ‘Reputations of Genius’ asked to reside. Too sophisticated for the dwarfes.

And another goblin seige. Seems like no trading this fall. At least I have some time before water freezes to wear them down a bit 22 Trolls 20 Beak dogs 20 Goblins

If not for Trolls I’d call this somewhat not too bad. Opossum is overcome by terror

One kid grew up to become an adult. I’ll wait a bit before assigning him to military

Invaders split. Goblins and dogs stay stationary. Trolls are split into two groups and forcing a river from two locations. Interesting. Perhaps they will wait till winter. Meanwhile legendary kid is taunting them on this side of a river.

The invaders caught a bard.

Will try to taunt them with a drawbridge. The farm animals are breeding like crazy

Got six goblins in the water with dogs. Two trolls on my side. One is metal armored. Attack went fine. One dwarf is damaged.

Human scholars are fleeing with my library

Kid stukos is back on it again.

3 more trolls split from the group to my bank. Miscoordination within the squads. One recruit is down

The inaders don’t attack human scholar Goto Thefinala. Wonder if he is a spy.

3 more trolls on my bank. And one dwarf failed to get back in time. He flees for his life which is good

Recruit Vabok posessed by fey mood. What a time! Stupid carpenter elf-mimic.

Flawless attack on 3 trolls. Goblins are piling on the other side.

And forgotten beast spawned in the caves. Winged steam blob. At least he is locked in the bottom cave without access to the fort

Another round of bridge manipulation. And human prophet with a scholar are launching from behind the goblin stack to the fort

Bridge cycle. Two goblins in the water, one on my bank. Goblins are dealt with. But spawn of dwarves caused a hail of arrows from the other bank. Also trolls are forcing the water for a melee attack. Recruit Vabok created Ungegshin coffee wood bin. At least not a coffin.

Trolls down, goblins down. Now it’s dwarfes’ turn to do stupid stuff: they force the water and attack the goblin pack. Guess it’s time to lower the bridge and go battle royale. There’s not too much left after the sniper duel.

No attackers left. Also one echidna was downed in the heat of fight. The attack was nearly flawless. Military excercises 50% of the year definitely paid off. And we might be in time for dwarven trading caravan

Just noted that human scholars can also write at my library. How nice of them


Freed depressed poet Eshtan from all duties. He went to the temple

Lord Consort is visiting. He is carrying codex named “Elements of the Goblin”. Description says the writing is cruel

He first wen to the library. Then to the general purpose temple near the canteen

Kid Stukos is there again

Assigned newly grown-up Stukos Bekarbesmar to being a professional peasant

Depressed Eshtan is worshipping all over the fort

Militia Captain is socializing with a caged wild boar in the tavern

For some reason my wood-loving workers refuse to chop down the trees in the tree farm

Tun Givishlal baron consort if visiting. All soaked in water and with a Troll horn crown on the head

For some reason found a statue of a dwarf on the bed in the tavern dormitory

Forgotten blob of steam decided to fight magma crab. Was fun. Nobody got hurt

Woodcrafter started doing masterworks.


Winter came. Will try to dig out whatever loot is frozen in the reiver. Also start to dig the defensive water moat.

Blueprinting the future move to lower caverns and magma.

Deassigning all the undertakers. Mainlty into miners. One of them has a warhammer strapped to himself, hence he cannot equip a mining pick. Will make him a brewer then - he dreams of mastering a skill and mastering mining might have been the easiest path.

After all it’s time to admit that the tavern is cleared from the corpses after all. Stil some leftover clothing and spatters of blood. But it’s nothing causing bad thoughts

Migrants arrived


Spread migrants. Finally filled glazer. Refreshed military. Assigned couple newbie lashers

Countess Counsort joined as a citizen. Gave her a top tier bed and freed from duties. She says she wants to pray more.

And we’re out of booze again. Sent all to gather plants. Thanks to founders there are leftover berries even though it’s winter

Another troupe, Tulips of Dignity visiting. No booze, dudes

Found high-ranked goblin armour in the frozen river. It will be flooded back again when it’s time to sell it sadly


Forgot there are no planters in my fort except for a volunteering kid. Trying to fix it. Hopefully will have enough brewery before disaster

Butcher has been posessed. Aaaand it’s … another stupid craftsdwarf. Building a forge next to the bedrooms

Poet Eshtar is back into depression. Now it’s spiced up by having to drink bad water. Turned out i forgot to abandon old water puddle as a proper water source

Dumed Igathkadol the butcher created Zesbomrek, an apple wood bracelet. Stupid elf-loving-tree-carving

One bard received citizenship and sent to the farming fields.

Booze crisis has passed

Also forgotten beast Ulash the 8-legged lizzard is chilling in the bottom caves

Mayo banned selling of shields again

Another tree-felling event. Looks like for some reasons all the woodchoppers have the same military training parity

A monster slayer asks for a residence. Dwarven spearman hauling 3 codexes in his hands. And no spear. You are welcome, guest

One cheeseloving dwarf took a cheese roast to his bed and did a whoopsie. Now neighbouring bedrooms are miasma-contaminated. One cheeseloving mayor

Note to self: rivers start to thaw out on 16th and end on 18th Granite(March) and is frozen by 14 Timber (November)

Dwarf monster slayer necromancer is visiting. Hope he will not notice a corpse pile near the entrance

Poet Eshtan is depressed again. Now it’s about sleeping in miasma. She is standing in mayo’s bedroom with an urge to attend a meeting. Waiting

Checked kid Stukos. His bio says he feels satisfied about crying at somebody in charge. 20 times. Still not enough to cure his state

Mayor woke up and went away. Poet is still attending a meeting

Goblin poet Gozru visited my animal farm and punched some kettle. He does not want to do this again probably. Now he is running around babbling

More rotten cheese. Now it’s in the kitchen. Moved cheesemaking into a separate room

Spring migrants arrived


Only 9 migrants. NOteworthy is one of them who is bad at anything. And another who wants to achieve high social rank and pretty lousy at anything too. Also one is a lasher, two are mace-dwarves which is uncommon

Started sorting weaponry. Found there is an artifact morningstar Zextuxxu near a skeleton in the caves. Not made in my fort too. Will give it to my mace-squad captain

By coincidence found a maceman poet Sibrek neat the entrance to the cave sleeping in front of the giant cave toad corpse

Opened the door not being fully ready trying to get some attention of the goblins near the lord consort. What a race! Several scholars, trolls, lord consort and a pack of beak dogs rushed into the opened gates. Consort made it the first, then couple scholars and immediately 6 trolls. Will try to stop the inflow here. Trolls got into the fort and targeted poor Poet Eshtan. Cannot imagine him surviving this. He died with a happy thought caused by improving his crossbow skill. Indeed he managed to get several good headshots before being cought ad outnumbered. Just moments after the army appeared near his body

After dealing with those trolls the army rushed to the othe rpart of the action appearing just in the nick of time to save lord consort. However the trolls killed goblin dancer who was holding a hand written by himself about himself. Autobiography of his early years being an apprentice of another goblin dancer. Prose is not awful but not very good either. What a seige!

During this encounter a bypassing prophet helped the military by biting the troll thus damaging his guts. Lord consort defended by nunching the troll in the fifth toe tearing apart the hair and bruising the fat through large troll fur shoe

The Hillocks of Lashchewed was founded halfday southeast of my fort and incorporated into my holdings. No idea what to do with this holding. Go-go dwarven civilisation anyway

When suddently came summer and another seige. Leaded by a troll crossbowman. All the attackers have table-cut-gems encrusted armour with engraved black devil - the symbol of that goblin civilization.

This attack came from south which is unusual. Major cities of goblins are locate to the west.

This time there are about 130 attackers with about 20 trolls and 20 war dogs. First wave dealt with nicely. One marksdwarf managed to keep aggression of two trolls without injuries dodging their attacks and wasting all his bolts counterattacking. He had to revert to using crossbow bluntly when help arrived. Ordered to decorate his bedroom with best furniture stockpiled

Three trolls climbed a tree to get to the hiding goblin dancer. And they did

Another wave dealt with. One troll is still cosplaying elves. Six goblins were launched into the air by a drawbridge as a warning too

One dwarf was injured. Carpenter-hammerdwarf Vabok got head skin damaged after he tried to participate in a bite-match against a beak dog

Another goblin bridge salute. This time the projectiles ended in the river. That’s when mayor was re-elected

This wave damaged one of the sworddwarfes. Goblin lasher hit precisely in the unprotected body parts

Damaged dwarf was a rookie. Well, he aint gonna jump no more, poor soul. Doctor did surgery to repair compound fracture. Then returned back to digging new bedrooms in the lava horison

Simin human scholar profane stalker is visiting. Goblin maceman is trying to attack the stalker. Nope. Not interested

One disobedient dwarf got lured out of the fort and is now dead. Bad for him and the rest of the dwarfes too

One Fath the swordsdwarf decided to visit the fort. Goblins caught him halfway. He fought hard and entered a martial trance while beating the goblin mob. Unfortunately having two parchment scroll rollers as weapon helped him to crush way less bones than a proper weapon might have. You will not be forgotten. I’ve ordered a statue that will be placed in the library

One dwarf fell into a strange mood. What’s even stranger is that he is listed as dead in my notes. Which means someone else is dead. And this one has claimed a craftsdwarf’s workshop. Useless dwarf

Meanwhile a statue of Fath the warrior of knowledge has been completed. On the statue is Fath Mouthplanks stealing a codex from the Smooth Bastion. It might have been a goblin bastion after all, so I’ll keep it anyway

This toothhauling business is driving me mad. Forbid all the teeth on the battleground

Genius posessed Etur has created a legendary cow bone mini-forge! Now the kids will have two toys in the fort. First one is a toy boat. This one has meanacing spikes of gold sticking. Luxury

Opened the gates. Troll leader is heading in with his squad. The squad approached the lowered drawbridge. Troll entered the bridge and commanded the squad to regroup with the other squads before entering. What a tactician! Tempting to launch him into the air. Gave a command to raise the bridge and that instant he rushed in with his mercenary goblins. They are in. Rest are out. Also couple scholars and a ghost scholar came in too

Goblin discipline is astounding. They stay and wait for their leader Oso the troll to destroy doors. Being a building destroyer he just cannot resist the urge. Even though there is a wall behind the door

This troll is all business. In the meantime a goblin bowman survived an atom smasher - the dwarbridge on his head. Impossible

The Oxo squad is impressive. They even hold the marksgoblins in the back

And then a dwarf comes to greet them. Now I’ll have to strike in a hurry. Managed to cancel his order. He stopped just outside Oxo squad reach. My forces gathered behind the gate. Gate opened. Silence. Not a movement. They see the traps and don’t want to fall there. I’ll have to attack first. The tanks, the dd’s: just a lesson in holding grounds. They injured my dwarves and all my mob cannot pass through armored frontline. What a fight

Goblin crossbowgoblin scored a good shot on my chief medical dwarf. Perhaps that’s the end of his military career too. Speargoblin stabbed my chief medical dwarf in the lung. Then he managed to stab my medic in the toungue with a spear. True mastery. Another crossbowgoblin managed to bite my chief medical dwarf in the foot. They seem to target him all together

Very brutal fight. Hope my medic survives at least. The good news is that there are only 80 attackers left

Well scored another victim. This time it was a visiting prophet. Also a couple of unidentified human corpses are found there too. Pumping miasma

The day starts with a prophet and a piligrim drowning under the river. And the kid Dastot is not drowning. He is just playing on a half-dry river floor waiting for the water to fill it. And all that on top of two goblin corpses. Kids are evil no matter the race. At least he feels uneasy about it

One dwarf Amost is standing in the pool of wine under the rain outside without assigned job and is starving. Wonder how to motivate him. On closer inspection he is hauling enough plants to feed a fort for couple months alone. Perhaps he is overloaded. Forbidding stuff he was hauling did not help. Only ordering his military squad to regroup did have a visible effect. Will try to station the squad on the food stockpile to make him dump his hauled stuff. Before stationing he decided to trow a copper axe to the lava smelter. By forbidding the axe he moved slowly to grab a backpack and as soon as he got one he threw all his hauled veggies to the ground and happily proceeded to the squad. Weird. Weird and dedicated
